The New Forest

Known for its stunning scenery and abundant wildlife, the New Forest is a great destination for a relaxing break or adventurous escape. The forest is made up of a mix of ancient woodlands, wetlands, and heaths. Its eponymous ponies roam the national park and cycle paths, and walking routes crisscross the landscape.

The New Forest is home to some of the best campervan sites Southwest England has to offer. In fact, there are almost 70 campsites within 15 miles of the New Forest. Book a site near Brockenhurst, Lymington, or Milford Haven if you want to be within easy reach of the seaside, or opt for a pitch close to Fritham, Lyndhurst, or Minstead to be in the heart of the ancient forest.

Christchurch

With its pretty harbour, award-winning beaches, and coastal reserves, the historic town of Christchurch is the perfect destination. If you’re looking for big, empty spaces and sweeping views, head to Hengistbury Head. With a history stretching back to the Stone Age, this beautiful spot boasts beaches, a land train, and even its very own lagoon.

Other great places to visit near Christchurch include Avon Beach, Mudeford Sandbank, and the Steamer Point Nature Reserve. Bournemouth, with its famous beach and attractions, is also just a stone’s throw away.

Brighton

Arguably the most vibrant and exciting city on the South Coast, Brighton is home to a huge choice of pubs, shops, and restaurants, as well as a whole host of other attractions. Known for its vintage boutiques and alternative culture, the city is a fantastic destination for anyone looking for a quirky escape.

Though the city itself has more than enough to keep you busy, there are lots more things to discover nearby. The expansive beach and Palace Pier are both packed with attractions, while just outside Brighton you’ll find the spectacular South Downs National Park. There are currently 10 campsites within 10 miles of the city centre.
